LOS ANGELES -- Pablo Sandoval moved into the cleanup spot and broke out of his slump. Custom Orioles Jersey . Sandoval and Hector Sanchez hit RBI singles in the 10th inning, and the San Francisco Giants recovered to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-4 Sunday after closer Sergio Romo gave up a tying homer to Hanley Ramirez. "Im happy, but Im not satisfied. I just want to do better for my teammates and the team," Sandoval said. "Youve got to keep focused and keep working hard, because everything is going to come back. So I dont worry too much about it. I just try to stay positive and keep fighting and have the faith that I can do it." Sandoval, who began the day hitting .173, was 3 for 5 with two RBIs. His other six RBIs this season came when he was batting third. "He was pretty excited about where he was hitting today, and he asked me how much I had to drink last night," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "I know its been frustrating for him, but hes been making better contact, and it just seems like hes got some confidence going. More than anything, hes got a little bit of a swagger right now, and hes got to keep that. Hopefully this will be something he can build on." San Francisco needs Sandoval to start producing in the middle of the lineup, especially with Brandon Belt sidelined for at least six weeks because of a broken thumb. "It was nice to see him go out there and get three knocks," Giants pitcher Tim Hudson said about Sandoval. "You know the great player is in there. And for him to get back to being that great player, its between the ears. Once he gets a little confidence going and believing in himself, hell be OK. We believe in him, and its something weve been saying for a long time." Sandovals run-scoring double in the first against Clayton Kershaw ended an RBI drought of 20 games and 68 at-bats for the switch-hitting third baseman since April 16 against the Dodgers. It was only the third hit with a runner in scoring position in a span of 27 at-bats for Sandoval, who clapped his hands as he went into second base standing up. "When you get the RBI to get ahead in the first inning against a tough pitcher like that, you have to be happy," Sandoval said. "Im happy that were winning and that were in first place." Brandon Hicks hit a two-run shot against the two-time NL Cy Young Award winner, and Buster Posey had an RBI single for the NL West leaders, who beat the defending division champions for the seventh time in 10 meetings this season. The Giants finished their road trip 7-3 and played errorless ball over the last five games. Romo (3-0) came on in the ninth to try and protect a 4-2 lead for Hudson. The right-hander struck out Yasiel Puig after a one-out double by Dee Gordon, but Ramirez lined his fifth homer to left field on an 0-1 pitch. The blown save was Romos first this season in 13 chances. Angel Pagan drew a leadoff walk in the 10th from Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen (0-2). Hunter Pence singled and both runners advanced on a wild pitch before Posey was intentionally walked. Sandoval and Sanchez delivered clutch hits, then Posey scored on J.P. Howells wild pitch. Jean Machi got three outs for his first major league save. Hudson allowed two runs and eight hits over six innings, including a leadoff homer in the sixth by Puig that extended his career-best hitting streak to 11 games. The right-hander went fewer than seven innings for the first time in eight starts this season. Kershaw allowed three runs and seven hits in his third start of 2014 and first at Dodger Stadium. The three-time defending major league ERA champ struck out nine and walked none in his second outing since coming off the disabled list. He also had nine Ks and no walks last Tuesday at Washington, when he pitched seven scoreless innings in an 8-3 win. Sandoval led off the seventh with a single and Hicks followed with his seventh homer, a drive to left field on an 0-2 curveball. The Giants have 45 homers through 38 games, their highest total at this stage of a season since 2001 (51). Hicks also went deep Thursday against Josh Beckett in the Giants series-opening win. "Its frustrating," Kershaw said. "The team played so well and we battled all day. Guys were making plays, getting big, clutch hits, moving guys over and playing the game the right way. So for me to give up that home run after just getting the lead right back is disappointing. Ive got to shut the door right there." Los Angeles grabbed a 2-1 lead in the sixth. Puig drove Hudsons first pitch of the inning into the Dodgers bullpen in left to tie it 1-all and flipped his bat after making contact. "It is what it is. I mean, boys will be boys," Hudson said. "Hes an emotional player and he hit the (stuffing) out of it. I probably would have flipped the bat, too." Ramirez then legged out a double and Adrian Gonzalez followed with an RBI single that ended a 2-for-33 slide. Gonzalez tried to score from second on Drew Buteras single to centre, but Pagan threw him out at the plate. NOTES: Beginning with Monday nights game against the Marlins, fans entering Dodger Stadium will be going through metal detectors at selected gates for a limited number of games the rest of the season. The new security measures, which Major League Baseball is implementing in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security, are expected to be in all big league ballparks by next year. ... The Giants dont return to Dodger Stadium until Sept. 22. Chris Tillman Jersey . Or at least on everyone elses expectations. Costa Rica followed up its surprise win over Uruguay with another World Cup stunner on Friday, beating four-time champion Italy 1-0 to secure a spot in the next round and eliminate England in the process. Frank Robinson Jersey . Replay backed him up. Adeiny Hechavarria immediately followed the ruling with a go-ahead sacrifice fly for the Miami Marlins, who held on to beat the Seattle Mariners 3-2 on Sunday completing a three-game sweep. http://www.baseballoriolesshop.com/zach-britton-orioles-jersey/ .1 Sam Stosur will meet Germanys second-ranked player Andrea Petkovic in the opening match of the Fed Cup World Group semifinal.CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Reds used a well-rounded effort to end their losing streak on Saturday. Jay Bruce homered and drove in three runs and the Reds snapped a three-game losing streak with a 6-5 win over the Phillies. Todd Frazier also homered and the Reds played strong defence, throwing out two runners at the plate to end innings and overcome homers by Marlon Byrd, Carlos Ruiz and Jimmy Rollins to send the Phillies to their seventh loss in eight games. "Talk about a complete game," first-year manager Bryan Price said. "Those two perfectly executed relay throws were a big deal. We had a lot of good things, defensively and offensively." Centre fielder Billy Hamilton, second baseman Brandon Phillips and catcher Devin Mesoraco teamed up to throw out Byrd at the plate to end the sixth inning and Ruiz to end the seventh. "Those are fun plays," Mesoraco said. "Those are always my most fun plays. You certainly dont want to give up the doubles to get into that position." Alfredo Simon (8-3) allowed seven hits and three runs with three strikeouts in six innings. Jonathon Broxton pitched a scoreless eighth inning and Aroldis Chapman pitched the ninth for his eighth save. The Reds wasted no time snapping their 17-inning scoreless streak, scoring in the first inning. Hamilton drew a leadoff walk, stole second on the first pitch to Skip Schumaker and hustled to third on Schumakers groundout to Rollins at shortstop, setting up Bruces sacrifice fly. "As a team, you need the small things," Bruce said. "Those are what lead to the bigger things." The Phillies answered with Byrds two-run homer in the second, his ninth of the season. Frazier led off the bottom of the second with his team-leading 13th homer of the season, giving him home runs in three of his past four games. Frazier sparked Cincinnatis fourth-inning go-ahead rally with a single to right field and stolen base. Zack Cozart drove him in with a sinking line drive to right-centre field that Ben Revere got a glove on with a diving try before the ball trickled away. Cozart went to third on Ramon Santiagos single and scored on Hamiltons sacrifice fly. The Phillies threatened in the fifth, getting runners to second and third with one out, prompting manager Ryne Sandberg to pinch-hit John Maybberry Jr. Jonathan Schoop Jersey. for starting pitcher Roberto Hernandez. Hernandez (2-4), is 0-3 in seven starts since his most recent win on May 4, allowed four hits and four runs with three walks and two strikeouts in four innings. He also hit a batter. Bruce followed Brandon Phillips fifth-inning leadoff walk with his fourth homer of the season and first since April 20 against the Cubs in Chicago. The homer was his first in Cincinnati since April 3 and the 100th of his career at Great American Ball Park. "Thats one of those things I knew was coming," Bruce said. "You just have to keep on keeping on. Ive been trying to keep the same approach. It felt good to put a good swing on a pitch I should have driven." Ruiz led off the sixth with his second homer of the season, and Rollins hit a two-run shot in the seventh, his eighth homer of the season and second in two days. Byrd was thrown out on a double on Domonic Browns double to right-centre field. He collided with Mesoraco, prompting umpire crew chief Tom Hallion to ask for a review to make sure Major League Baseballs new rules governing plays at the plate werent violated. "I cant give you an educated response because I dont know what the rule is," Byrd said. "I was waiting for a lane. I was going to slide outside and get my hand in" When the replay confirmed the initial ruling, Sandberg came out of the dugout to argue, which is automatic grounds for ejection. The umpires tried to wave him back into the dugout, and Hallion ejected Sandberg when he persisted. "My argument was the catcher blocked the plate before he had the ball," Sandberg said. "Byrd almost twisted his ankle with indecision. It has gone against us three times with different scenarios. Everyone wants to know what the rule is." Notes: Reds 1B Joey Votto will begin an injury rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Sunday. Votto hasnt played since going on the disabled list on May 21, retroactive to May 16, with a quadriceps strain in his left knee, the same knee on which he had two surgeries in 2012. ...
